The main product is in fact composed of a smartphone by the following features: dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1.5 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable memory (via microSD), microUSB and micro HDMI output and, of course (though not was granted), Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0.3, with minimal customization by ASUS. We also find a rear 8 MPx camera with LED flash and f/2.2 lens. The display is a Super AMOLED QHD from 4.3 '(Resolution: 540 × 960).
The smartphone, which, as we said, is the focal point of this product will be sold separately, but the public also expresses its full potential by combining (and then "turning") with its counterpart by 10 '.
Essentially, the tablet where "embed" the Padfone is devoid of any hardware feature: once connected the two devices, will turn the screen 10 inch (the resolution is the classic one tablet of 10 ', 1280 × 800) giving the possibility user to leverage the experience of ICS typical tablet (still short for truth).
The counterparty has additional GSM antenna that amplifies the signal of the smartphone. And to answer the question that all of you, you're probably asking: yes! And 'possible to answer calls directly from the tablet, or a Bluetooth headset or directly from the tablet, speaking into the microphone that comes with.
Also if you are using any applications and want to switch from using the smartphone users gain the tableto vice versa, the application will adapt to the resolution of the device currently in use.
The ability to purchase separately from the smartphone tablet allows buyers to buy (eg family) more copies of the same smartphone and then use them on the same tablet, every time you connect the tablet will adapt to the user who is using it, thus remaining transparent to use by other users.
What's more the Padfone has access to a range of additional accessories really interesting. The first is a keyboard dock very similar to those of the two Transformer currently on the market, with a trackpad, full QWERTY keyboard and two standard USB ports. The second is a capacitive stylus that can become a bluetooth headset (unfortunately we have no pictures to show you).
