Bundling of the Year, Indosat Targets 4.2 Million Units

Bundling the service with the device is one way to attract new customers. This year, Indosat is targeting customers of the sales increase of approximately 4.2 million units.

"This year is very challenging target, 4.2 million units, including dongle (USB modem)," said Joko Sumantri Yuwono, Group Head of Product Development & Management Indosat, in Jakarta, Thursday (22/03/2012).

Of the target, Sumantri explains, "The BlackBerry is still the highest number of approximately 40 percent. But, we begin to focus on Android with the amount of approximately 30 percent. Rest bundling Windows Phone, Symbian, and the dongle."

He also revealed that the total growth of Indosat customers who use a BlackBerry, the 2010 to 2011 reached 100 percent. And throughout 2011 there are approximately 1.5 million subscribers who use BlackBerry.

This year, Sumantri said, will focus on bundling with Android devices. Because the trend in that direction. Moreover, since it is open source, Android applications easier to develop.

"We also put our application in all of bundling, namely Indosat World. Through it, customers can register internet Indosat, BlackBerry, and others," he added.

According to him, bundling can increase revenue up to approximately 30 percent of Indosat. "From the bundling expected to Indosat customers will be sticky. Because we offer multiple benefits, such as three months free internet." he concluded.
