Kemenkominfo: All of Indonesia to be connected to the Internet by late 2012

Imagine the whole of Indonesia to connect Internet is a fun thing for us as the population of Indonesia. Good news came from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology program through the District Internet Service Provision (PLIK) who are working so that every district in Indonesia will be connected to the internet by the end of this year.

Director General for Informatics Applications Kemenkominfo, Ashwin Sasongko, agrees that effort. He also said this year around 5748 points in the capital district in Indonesia must be connected to the Internet. Currently, the Kemenkominfo not get the exact data about the success of the program that have been implemented since a few years ago. However, Ashwin ensure its implementation should be completed later this year.

PLIK expected to remove the communication gap between communities that had been constrained by the extent of the territory of Indonesia.

PLIK itself as the cafe where the available five computers in it are connected to the Internet. Besides PLIK, Kemenkominfo also provides MPLIK, with systems such as the library goes, MPLIK a minibus car containing six netbooks, 32 inch LCD television, DVD player and a generator hotspot as its power source.
