» ASUS VA278Q, a monitor 27 "QHD for imaging professionals
The VA278Q is a new monitor from Asus presented these days at CES 2012 aimed at graphic designers, photographers and all those demanding users who require a product with superior quality to common panels TN (twisted nematic). The monitor is equipped with an IPS panel with 27-inch LED backlight. The resolution is QHD, ie 2560 × 1440 pixels with a pitch of 0.233mm, a density of greater than one quarter of a display of the same size and full HD resolution.
As usual for this type of monitor are a quality support which allows to lift and rotate the monitor in portrait position (screen rotated 90 degrees). One of the peculiarities of this model is the function QuickFit Virtual Scale for the preview of photos or graphics in real size and as in other models include the Asus Splendid Video Intelligence Technology for the optimization of color through six preset modes. Connections are available between DisplayPort and one dual-link DVI. Still no information about prices and availability.
