The cover of SOLARFOCUS that illuminates the Kindle and charge with a solar panel

If you've got to try the Kindle "smooth" you may have noticed that the electronic ink display gives a pleasant reading experience without the fatigue of the backlighting of LCD displays, but in the absence of an adequate ambient light simply are unable to distinguish 'ink from the background.

SOLARFOCUS had a brilliant idea, why not have all those hours of reading in the sun (on the terrace in the park, etc..) With e-reader to load an extra battery, and charge that the Kindle can also supply a LED light? The product already exists, is called SolarKindle Lighted Cover and is ready to launch in the next few days at CES.

Among the features include an internal battery of 1500mA, a reading lamp of 800 lux, an LED indicator that warns us of the state of the battery or the device is charging Solar, a solar panel, high-performance triple-junction anamorphic and of course a leatherette cover that keeps it all safe, for just 215g in weight.

The price of SolarKindle Lighted Cover is $ 80 and will be available from January 15 on the American market. The Kindle is available instead of the end of 2011 on Amazon's online store at a cost of 99 with free shipping.
