Dennis Woodside to be appointed Google CEO of Motorola Mobility

Bloomberg reported on Thursday (2/23/2012), Google has appointed Dennis Woodside to become CEO of Motorola Mobility. Woodside last became President of Google's Americas region. Nikesh Arora is the rumor earlier, Google SVP and Chief Business Officer, who will become CEO of Motorola pegged.

Google to buy Motorola Mobility of U.S. $ 12.5 billion and gets more than 17,000 patents that will help fend off a legal challenge from the iPhone software. According to his LinkedIn profile, Woodside has become an employee at Google since 2003. Woodside has served as vice president in charge of England, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. He also set up direct sales operations in Eastern Europe. Before that, he worked at McKinsey & Co. Under the leadership of Woodside, U.S. sales rose to $ 17.6 billion in 2011 from $ 10.6 billion in 2008. Sales rose about 65 percent, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
