Leader Impression 7A and 10A: Ice Cream Sandwich with cheap tablet from $ 179

There are still three days of dancing at the opening of CES 2012, but already leaked the news that the producers - including children - will be showcasing. Among them is Leader International, a small Californian label (rare exception in a world dominated by Asians) who provided the first details on two new tablet from 7 to 10 inches.

The models are called Impression Impression 7A and 10A, are based on Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich and ride predictably the recent trend of tablet low cost especially for the smaller version, brought in $ 179 and $ 299. Unlike other similar models, the two variants differ not only in the diagonal but also in most of the hardware. In 7A, we find a small SoC Cortex-A8 single core 1GHz, a screen with 1024 × 600, 4GB of expandable memory, VGA front camera, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi of course.

In 10A we find a panel of higher quality IPS type, but with a resolution only slightly higher, that is 1024 × 768. The SoC this time is the Nvidia Tegra dual-core and beyond the set of specifications previously seen in 7A we also find an HDMI port and a 2-megapixel camera. All things that should not impress, if not for the operating system fresh and attractively priced model by 7 inches.
