Samsung Beam, our MWC 2012 Preview

If there is a curious product which has been (re) presented during the Mobile World Congress 2012, this is definitely Samsung Beam Android smartphone with integrated projector. Although Samsung has been explained by two spots you will ever need a smartphone of this type, we still wanted to try it.

The device is compact and not in the hands is larger than a smartphone of the medium Android. The screen is 4 inches with 480 x 800 pixels, the processor 1 GHz dual core and the ram is 768 MB.

The projector is placed at the top of the phone and place in a completely dark room (or almost) guarantees a less than amazing. The playback time is 3 hours, while the declared distance of 15 meters seemed to us that much more optimistic. With about 3-4 meters you get an image large enough to be compared with the more generous sized TVs. However nothing to do with the "famous" 15 meters.

In the photos we show you the room was actually almost completely illuminated by powerful lights of places stand out from the dark room (which has never been such a view of the crowd who kept open the curtains) and the result is still more than acceptable (just look at the projection on the ceiling).
