TelyHD, the videophone for your TV Android-based Skype

Will be presented at CES 2012 but already curious about the first picture: it is TelyHD, a technology solution for video-based Android that connects to a TV set and allows to fully exploit the potential of Skype.

There are already televisions that offer video calling thanks to the camera inside, but definitely a TelyHD uses high definition technology for better and more powerful than the average. The interface, based on Android, integrates the functions of Skype without spaesare the user, such as video messages (similar to an answering machine, video) and image sharing via USB stick or SD.

What's inside the TelyHD is not very different from a tablet. Let's talk about Android Froyo (older, but here the functions are quite special and limited) and a Tegra processor 2. This enables HD calls to all Skype users. There is also a microphone that cancels background noise, and is WiFi or Ethernet connection (obviously the quality of vision depends on the type of connection).

The TelyHD is already available for sale at a price of $ 250, but this will still be nononstante at CES 2012. There are alternatives, we have already seen, like the Warpia ConnectHD (which also has other functions) and the Biscuits TV Phone - and both are offered at a lower price, even if it is less powerful devices.
