Ultrabook touch clamshell design with unconventional since the summer?

A new category of ultrabook with touch screen and fully rotatable clamshell design might come out later this year. Obviously there is half of Microsoft, and Windows 8 is pushing the industry towards a convergence between tablet and notebook x86 (ARM has already thought Asus).

The transition to these devices have a number of obstacles, which will result in an increased thickness of 7-15mm and a higher cost, due to increased mechanical complexity and development costs.

Asus, Acer and Lenovo plan to launch models with these features and Asian sources have revealed that the first units could jump out as early as July-August.
