China Mobile recorded 15 million iPhone users

China Mobile is a giant operator in China. With a market share of about 1 billion mobile phones, China Mobile has a customer almost 60% of total market share. This figure represents 655 million people. That number is sure China Mobile as the company's largest operator by subscribers in the world.

Although China Mobile did not have a partnership to sell the iPhone, it did not stop their dominance of the iPhone users in China.

China Mobile announced that there are 15 million iPhone users who use the network of China Mobile and there were 5 million new iPhone activation since October last year in China. That means there are 35 000 additional users to the network of China Mobile iPhone per day.

China Mobile alone has only a network connection on 2G networks and have not been able to support China Mobile's 3G (TD-SCDMA) because it is not compatible with the iPhone. This is the reason China Mobile does not sell the Apple device. It will be fixed after the LTE network was completed in June.

The new addition will deliver a wider range and China Mobile will have a huge potential to increase sales in China. Earlier this year analyst at Morgan Stanley predicted that a deal with China Mobile could sell 60 million enhancement to the end of 2013.
