Gigabyte unveils the ultrabook U2442 and gaming laptops P2542G

In addition to a thick line of motherboards at CeBIT this year, Gigabyte brings new notebook also on the front: an inevitable ultrabook UA2442 and a laptop targeted at gamers, the P2542G.

The ultrabook is equipped with a screen 14 "from 1600 × 900 LED backlit and has a chassis not very thin, both in the total thickness (more than 20mm) that in the frame of the display. The house has preferred to sacrifice Taiwan's design and ultra-portability to performance, especially in games since it includes a GeForce GT 640M with 2GB of memory.

The handset is offered in the variant UA2422N with Intel Core i5/i7 standard voltage or in UA2422V variant, in which there is a third generation i5/i7 (so Ivy Bridge) in ultra-low voltage version (ULV). The article continues after the break.

The records department is entrusted to a traditional disk or 750GB SSD, and comes complete a backlit keyboard (not commonly seen on this class of laptop), USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, dual antenna 2T2R, and of course Wi-Fi Thunderbolt optional.

In P2542G we find a 15.6 "FullHD LED Backlit coupled to a chassis this time clearly not aimed at portability, with a design that will turn heads and gives a nod to sports cars.

The hardware is entrusted to a third-generation Intel Core i7 and is supported by the powerful GeForce GTX 660M with 2GB of memory. Other features include a Blu-ray, an audio system and THX TruStudio traditional harddrive or SSD.

Gigabyte has also taken advantage of his experience in the development of heat sinks to provide gaming laptop with a dual fan system to cool in a more efficient CPU and GPU separately, preventing accumulation of heat. Still no information regarding prices and availability.
