HP Cut 275 Employees Division WebOS

Meg Whitman as President Director of Hewlett-Pakcard (HP) has a great plan for WebOS operating system that will run on HP mobile devices. The big plan is to decide termination of employment (FLE) to the number of employees.

As reported by Slashgear, Wednesday (29/02/2012), Meg Whitman is considering the plan is the WebOS operating system software based on open-souce and does not require a number of employees (engineer). Therefore, there are 275 employees who were dismissed from the company.

"As WebOS continue the transition to software-based open-source in mobile devices, it does not require a lot of mechanical engineering and other related positions" said a spokeswoman for HP, Mylene Mangalindan.

"HP will continue to see and WebOS publish in open-source format." he explained.

Hewlett Packard plans to make mengumuman WebOS operating system entirely in December, this month seems right after the company completed the tablet and the smart phone plan.

Meanwhile, HP has retained ownership of WebOS after the purchase of Palm, Inc. last year. WebOS allows a community to be able to modify and redistribute the code.
