Huge demand for the Raspberry Pi, the Linux PC from $ 25

The producers had anticipated a much higher level of demand, so many buyers chasing the first online Raspberry Pi as to give two sites in Great Britain.

We have already spoken of the Raspberry Pi, but to be clear this is a Linux PC with minimal hardware and impressive cost: only $ 25 or $ 35 for the slightly more powerful. Both have a low-cost ARM processor and 256MB of RAM ($ 25 version has only recently been "upgraded" to that amount of memory).

Apparently the Pi is already sold out at the two retailers, Farnell and RS Components, whose sites have been pestered to the point of being rendered inoperable, even the fate of the official website Raspberry. The next shipment of Pi should not materialize for another month, and in particular the international buyers were left with a bitter taste in the mouth - even if nobody actually expected a similar frenzy.

Theoretically, the Raspberry Pi was born for the educational market, but apparently there's an army of people who want this computer, a simple, bare plate, or to try to enhance some aspect of their hobby.
