OCZ Agility 3: added models 180GB and 360GB to the line of SSD

OCZ has added two new styles of magnitude to its SSD line Agility 3, which are now also offered in 180GB and 360GB models. The family is based on the controller SandForce SF-2281 and is in the midrange market, the one with the best compromise of price and performance, especially on medium-low cuts in our area that are marketed at an attractive price.

As is typical, the speed varies with the amount of NAND flash and with the number of channels used - in the case of Agility 3 are precisely the models with average capacity to offer the best balance of performance. It is in this area that you go to put the new models, just below and above the 240GB model, which still holds the speed record.

In the model are 135 and 180GB 195MB / s read and write random blocks of 4K, significantly faster than the 120GB model, but less of the cut to 240GB. A little 'slower write the 360GB model, which provides 135 and 98MB / s in the same benchmark. Availability is planned for the next few weeks, whereas prices in yen spread these hours do not help us much. It makes more sense to do a rough calculation on current prices in our area, that position would see the two models in a range of about 200 € for the 180GB model and about 500 € for one to 360GB.
