Samsung Display Suppliers Retina New iPad

Although Samsung and Apple are involved a series of patent disputes, but apparently they still formed a partnership. Samsung is reported to be a major supplier of Retina Display for Apple's latest tablet.

LG and Sharp is said to have failed to meet Apple's quality, thus providing an opportunity Samsung is working on the Retina Display for New iPad.

Quoting an analyst at iSuppli, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday that Samsung is the only company that assembles the touch screen Retina Display for third-generation Apple tablet.

"Specifications on the new iPad screen is very demanding high resolution. Pencapian high resolution without sacrificing power consumption, brightness, and maintain the quality standards expected Apple to be a challenge for diplay LG and Sharp, "said Vinita Jakhanwal of iSuppli, as reported by AppleInsider on Wednesday (14/03/2012).

Earlier, last week from the NPD Group's DisplaySearch told that the three companies namely Samsung, Sharp and LG have difficulty in producing the latest Retina Display for iPad. But then, there is no mention that Sharp and LG are not able to provide components for Apple.

Even if Samsung is the only provider of Retina Display iPad, it may not have a significant impact on the ability of Apple to produce the tablet.

Apple's dependence on Samsung for component products, contrary to the legal dispute involving the two tech giants. As is known the two companies are engaged in a series of patent disputes in its products.
