Sony Pours $ 50 Million for Marketing PS Vita

Sony reportedly poured funds amounting to USD50 million, for marketing the Playstation console genggan Vita (Vita PS) in the United States last month. Marketing director of Sony Computer Entertainment America revealed the costs of marketing the console to the New York Times.

As reported by VGChartz, Thursday (03/22/2012), as director of marketing John Koller said that rains money is used to expand marketing of handheld consoles PS Vita by placing the advertisements in various media, such as the advertised digital banners, and billboards.

The game console companies more incentive to do the marketing of mobile consoles in several television programs like The Simpsons, South Park, and Tosh.O, as well as in online media such as Yahoo, ESPN and Youtube.

It is expected that marketing covers the mass media, the company will get a resounding, "This is the biggest launch platform in terms of marketing investment we've ever had," said John Koller.

In addition, the presence of this marketing strategy, Sony tried to make a handheld console PS Vita is getting closer to the fans as to how they play the Playstation home console. "PS Vita allows the user to feel involved and feel like I'm playing on a console (home)," he added.
