Asus Prime Transformer: Android to 4 ports

There are three stories about the Prime Transformer from Asus, start from the positive ones. 4 Ice Cream Sandwich Android is finally about to arrive. The news comes from a message posted on the bulletin board by the company of his Facebook page and how we read the updates coming for all users as of January 12.

The other good news is encrypted bootloader (which does not allow the installation of kernel and ROM other than standard) and the protests of the community of xda-developers, which we told you just yesterday. Asus's answer was very fast and always in the same Facebook message says that the reason for the lock on the bootloader resides in the functions of digital content protection (DRM) for video rental services of Google. Asus also writes that "in our experience, users who make routing is likely to make the tablet unusable". And here you can not blame him. Despite these risks, however, Asus has announced that soon will be working to develop a tool for unlocking. Alleluia.

The third story is about the most unpleasant and GPS bugs found on the tablet. In a move surely painful, Asus has had to admit that the cause of the erratic workings of the satellite's metal casing of the tablet, that apparently disturbs the reception so intractable. Asus, however, replied that the Prime Transformer "is not a GPS device and that the professional performance of the signal can easily be influenced by factors such as time, neighboring buildings and environments." To avoid the inconvenience of a "function that does not work", the Taiwanese company has decided to completely remove from the product specifications of any reference to the GPS capability of the tablet.
