These glasses with HUD will be very similar to Android as a smartphone hardware, and the cost will go to settle at that range of prices: we speak of a figure between $ 250 and $ 600. Just like these phones, glasses have 3G or 4G connectivity, as well as GPS and motion sensors - Here exploited in a more refined way, of course.
According to the information previously scattered, these glasses will be able to access cloud services from Google and graphically inform the user about its position, giving details clearly visible in the surrounding environment. The look of the prototype is not very different from Oakley Thumps, which appear in the image atop this article.
The control interface is not very elaborate for now. Surely some controls should be adjusted with the movement of the head, but functions like the camera may need a button, but nothing is certain. There is surely the voice control.
According to The New York Times, the project is not seen as a business model but as an experiment that will involve also the end user. A convenient way of saying that Google is preparing to offer for sale the usual beta using customers as guinea pigs, a feeling very familiar to anyone who bought an old Android tablet.
