LG Google TV, will be presented

Despite the limited success so far received from the Google TV incarnations of Samsung, LG has decided to introduce a model of these Android-based smart televisions, and will present it at CES.

The new set will contain the L9 chip manufactured by LG itself (probably an ARM Cortex-A9 processor optimized for this purpose), and apparently the OS will have something in common with the LG Smart TV software produced internally by the multinational, coupled with a more Android Honeycomb usual. The combination should provide a good energy saving and true multitasking with browsing, app and television operating simultaneously.

Even the remote control will be very special. Use a technology called Remote Qwerty Magic, which combines voice control to a full keyboard. The Google TV LG will also be 3D, with both 2D to 3D conversion handled by software. It will still 3D with passive glasses, of which LG is focusing.

Unfortunately we do not yet have details on the size and price.
