One Laptop Per Child XO-3: the first photos of the OLPC tablet education

One Laptop Per Child (OLPC or just) is the name of the project created by Nicholas Negroponte, which aims to develop low-cost devices for education in third world countries. Within the program we find the XO-3, a tablet style rugged that after years of development will see the light just a few days at CES 2012, which will debut in a form more or less definitive.

The tablet is in development since 2009 and there was definitely the best time to see this project come to life, now that the technology needed for these devices is more economical than ever.

As you can see from the photos the XO-3 is made to last. The tablet is coated with a thick layer of Green Silicon shock and a cover for the 8-inch screen, which once positioned at the bottom of the tablet and presumably protects the waterproof audio ports, USB and power. For more details sull'XO-3 not until the launch, which materializes in the next few days at CES 2012.
