Google Authenticator 2 is updated as a separate app

Google Authenticator is a simple application that allows you to complete the login system in two steps that Google already offers from time to access its services. In this way you can use your Android smartphone as a token, similar to what you may already use for online banking.

Version 2 comes renewed in Store Play as completely separate application, which just started asking the removal of the previous version (but you will not need to re-register your smartphone). But we do not know the real reason behind this choice. The new application has been redesigned to Ice Cream Sandwich.
