Presents WD External Hard Disk with Thunderbolt

Western Digital (WD) began to bring an external hard drive technology equipped with Thunderbolt. The device is named My Book Thunderbolt Duo is available in two capacity options.

Jody Bradshaw, General Manager Consumer Storage Solution WD argues, a new device is suitable for creative workers. "My Book Thunderbolt Duo offers a great capacity for creative workers, as well as enthusiasts who need fast access to large files," Bradshaw said through its official statement on Thursday (3/29/2012).

Thunderbolt itself is a technology developed by Intel, in the form of an interface for connecting additional devices to the computer. The technology is present in the market through its collaboration with Apple.

The application of these technologies provide new ways of connecting devices to the storage of high-speed desktop or notebook computer anywhere that has a Thunderbolt port. In addition it is claimed to provide speed at the time of the activities or music video editing, 3D rendering and complete other projects that are loaded with graphics high definition (HD).

Additional features found on the My Book Tunderbolt Duo includes compatibility with Mac OS Time Machine and HFS + Journaled format. Duo Thunderbolt My Book is now available at a price of approximately USD535 (4TB) and USD625 (6TB).
