Arriving at the peak of Android, Windows Phone writhing

So far Windows Phone (WP) 7 is said to fail to challenge the dominance of Android and IOS. But apparently it slowly began to change, along with the vendor that reduces dependence on the two main players.

According to data from Kantar Worldpanel, in England, which adopted WP7 smart phone has now exceeded the number of Symbian. And other regions in Europe's biggest market was followed to grow.

Proclaimed European Communications, Thursday (29/03/2012), WP7 currently has approximately 2.5 percent of the smartphone market in the UK. This means an increase of approximately two percent in the period of 12 weeks the same as last year. Meanwhile in Germany, WP7 has grown 1.4 percent, one percent in Italy, and 0.9 percent in France.

"There are strong signs that the smart phone Nokia WP7 took effect on the European smart phone markets. WP7 started to gain attention, and it seems we will soon see it as an operating system is a third option," said Dominic Sunnebo, Director at Kantar's research institute.

According to him, WP7 will not be so considered until later when the percentage of its market share has mencapa double digits. Predictions, Microsoft's operating system will reach a market share of 8 to 10 percent by the end of 2012. For the sake of it, Nokia and Microsoft have a lot of work to be completed.

Android itself is so dominant in Europe. In the data Kantar, revealed Google's operating system holds a 48.5 percent market share in Britain, 59 percent in Germany, 45 percent in France, 51 percent in Italy, and 68 percent in Spain.
