Kobo e-reader cheaper: prices from £ 49

The e-reader by Kobo are now more attractive thanks to a price cut that covers the entire line of its electronic readers. The Kobo Wireless is now available at £ 49 (59 €), in less than 40 € compared to the basic available on Amazon Kindle Italy. The touch version is much cheaper than the Kindle competitor: 79 pounds (95 €) against € 129.

Unfortunately there is a "but". The offer is in fact limited to British supermarkets Asda, that even when equipped with an online market does not ship to addresses outside the UK.

End of proof falling prices still not reflected in the Italian lists, where the various Kobo are still sold to the usual full price (89 € and 129 € for models Wi-Fi and touch). But hope is the last to die. This cut prices in the UK could mean that production costs for these e-paper devices have become cheaper and that a general price cut for the entire industry could be at the gates.

Given the trend of the market and the simplicity of these electronic readers e-paper, is not science fiction to assume that within 1-2 years we could end e-reader at truly popular like 20 or 30 €. For now we just have to wait, or maybe take advantage of that friend or relative who lives in London for us to do a little favor ...
