Philips 241P4LRY, the first monitor with the proximity sensor ErgoSensor

Philips has introduced a new series monitors Brilliance with innovative features as regards energy efficiency and ergonomics. The model is called 241P4LRY and marks the introduction of technology ErgoSensor.

Under the acronym stands for a technology that relies to a proximity sensor, just like those already in smartphones for some time or in some notebooks, which in addition to turning off the monitor when it detects nobody nearby will also give tips on ergonomics, such example on the posture of the neck, the optimum distance and the need for breaks at regular intervals.

The specifications speak instead of a 24-inch panel with LED backlight, the ubiquitous resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, a 5ms response time and 250 cm/m2 maximum brightness and a contrast level of 1000:1 (20 million of 1 with SmartContrast).

The connections offered are the classic D-Sub, DVI and DisplayPort, accompanied by a useful USB 2.0 hub, speakers for an office use and a height adjustable stand with tilt-swivel-rotation feature, an element that usually accompanies monitor panels of the upper class as the IPS, which we suspect is also provided on this model. Philips 241P4LRY has not yet appeared in the Italian lists, but will debut soon in Europe at a price of 339 .
